An Isle of Skye Elopement Film

Two Hours Apart

Shayla and Aaron’s first date was at a restaurant in Brandon, Manitoba. Shayla seemed easy to talk to and really interested in what Aaron had to say, and the conversation flowed so well they never hit an awkward silence. A second date was a no brainer. For a while, every weekend meant one of them driving two hours to spend it together.
Neither of them can point to one moment when they knew. Every moment together just felt like it was building in the same direction, so when they decided to move in together it was the obvious choice, with nobody holding back.
They were planning an engagement photo trip to Scotland when they came across the elopement packages, and it just spoke to them. They loved the idea of an intimate ceremony, and the backdrop of the Isle of Skye seemed too good to pass up.
They didn’t want a big, expensive wedding. They wanted the focus on their marriage and their future together. With their families not able to be there, a short film was a way to share the day with them. What they were most looking forward to was simple: standing together, surrounded by the beauty of Scotland, hearing the vows they’d written for each other. They got married in July 2026.
"He brought such a calming presence to the entire day. When I felt like we needed to rush and get things moving, he allowed me to slow down and actually take in the moments that would matter."
