Sarah & Jai

A Stretton Manor Barn Wedding

Another Milestone

Jai and Sarah first connected on Tinder back in 2017. In the early days, their relationship played out along the M1, with countless Friday nights spent driving between Sheffield and Leeds. Long car journeys, 90s RnB, too many McDonald’s stops, and late-night Mario Party games in a small Sheffield flat became the backdrop of their growing connection. In 2018, Jai moved to Sheffield, and by 2019, they were expecting their first child. Their daughter Lily was born in 2020, a lockdown baby who brought even more meaning to their shared life.
Jai proposed during afternoon tea at home on her 30th birthday in 2021, and by the time her 31st birthday rolled around in 2022, they discovered they were expecting again—their son Luca. Every year has brought a new chapter, and getting married in 2023 with their children by their sides was another milestone in a love story full of them.

Stretton Manor Barn was the only venue they visited. It turned out to be the only one they needed. It had everything they wanted: quiet surroundings, countryside views, and just the right balance of charm without feeling too formal. For her, the fairy lights in the ceiling sealed the deal.
The style of the day reflected them perfectly: romantic, soft, shabby chic, with a bit of fun and sparkle.

She walked down the aisle to Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You”, a song that means a lot to them both. The lyrics capture how they feel about each other, and the intro never fails to hit. Their first dance was to Brian McKnight’s “Back at One”, a song they used to sing in the car, and one she always joked would be their first dance (though she wasn’t really joking). The words say it all, and it’s also a nod to their shared love of classic RnB.
The moment she looked forward to most was seeing Jai at the end of the aisle; and having all their favourite people in one room, celebrating their story.

Three words that sum up their day? Laughter, love, and fun.

Their advice for other couples? Do the engagement shoot. Don’t stress about the little things. Just focus on marrying your person and having the best celebration you can.

"Nathan captured our day just perfectly, he really managed to capture the magic and having our loved ones on film is something we will treasure forever!

Nathan was a pleasure to work with, he was super helpful with any questions we had leading up to the day and it was lovely to have him with us on our special day. We felt like he was another friend attending our wedding. He seamlessly blended in and his videography is incredible. He has a natural talent for capturing those moments you don't have the time to take in on the big day! Thank you so much!"
