Dan was working as a librarian in 2015 when Holly, the new girl, showed up. He made an extra special effort to show her all his favourite books. Dan later found out that Holly was one of 400 applicants, so it wasn’t a likely meeting in the slightest.
During their time at the library it’s safe to say they grew fond of each other. They found a shared love for reading, travel and a shared affection for Shrek, of all things. After a couple of years they decided to test the waters with a kind-of date to the cinema. One thing led to another and now they’re living together.
Holly brought Dan to meet her parents, he felt instantly welcomed; like part of the family from day one. Since then they’ve bought a house together, adopted 2 kittens, Finn & Luna and are now getting married.
Holly and Dan were looking for a wedding venue that would house the bridal party on night before the wedding. Dunston Hall hadn’t even been on their radar at first, but after visiting a dozen venues, it stood out clearly above the rest. A huge factor was the work ethic and communication skills of the staff. The venue has its own library room, which may have helped.
As pair of book lovers Holly and Dan have opted for a literary works theme intertwined with horticulture and candles to bring a calm but deliberate start their next chapter together.
