FAQ

Booking & Payments

Do you require a deposit?

A booking fee of £250 is required alongside a signed contract to secure your date.

How far in advance should we book?

Most dates fill 9–12 months ahead, especially peak-season Saturdays. If your wedding is sooner, ask anyway - short-notice spaces do open up.

When is the final balance due?

Your final balance is required 7 days prior to your wedding.

Coverage Options & Travel

Can we tailor the hours of coverage?

Absolutely. Packages range from key-moment highlights to full-day storytelling. We’ll choose a start and finish time that fits your plans and budget.

Do you travel and is there a fee?

Yes. I film across the UK and abroad. UK mileage within 50 miles is included: beyond that, modest travel or accommodation costs apply. Destination weddings are quoted individually.

Will there be more than one filmmaker on the day?

If your package includes a second shooter, they’ll cover extra angles, guest reactions and venue details while I concentrate on the main story and audio. Smaller bookings are filmed by me alone - still thorough, just more streamlined.

Why Hire a Videographer?

Do we really need a videographer if we already have a photographer?

Photography captures beautiful moments in still frames; film preserves the movement, voices and ambience - your vows in real time, the laughter in speeches, the way you both move on the dance-floor. Couples often tell me the video lets them feel the day again in a way nothing else can.

Filming Logistics

How do you record sound without bulky microphones showing?

Small, concealed lavalier mics are fitted under clothing or accessories before the ceremony and speeches. They’re light, comfortable and invisible to guests.

What happens if it rains or the timeline changes?

Weather and schedules often shift. I carry weather-sealed cameras, adapt shot lists on the fly and keep clear communication with your co-ordinator and photographer so the coverage remains stress-free.

Delivery & Turnaround

When and how will we receive everything?

A short teaser arrives within 48 hours. The finished highlight and any longer films are delivered 3–5 weeks later via a private online gallery for streaming and download.

Do you offer raw footage?

Yes. Raw footage is available on request.

Raw footage refers to the unedited video files recorded throughout the day, before any editing or colour grading. Footage is recorded using Sony’s S-Log3 colour profile, so it will appear flat and low-contrast straight out of camera.

Raw footage is available for a fixed fee of £95 and is supplied as a personal archive rather than a finished film.
